Traditional Driveways Midlands were recently commissioned by one of our long-term customers to complete a resin bound surfacing installation at a newly constructed care home in Worcester. Having worked with the client on several previous developments, we were proud to once again be trusted to deliver the driveway and surrounding pathways for this important project.
As a healthcare and residential facility, the external surfaces needed to provide both visual appeal and practical performance, ensuring safe and comfortable access for residents, visitors and staff.
The project required the installation of a resin bound driveway at the main entrance, along with resin bound pathways around the building to create safe, attractive and durable walkways throughout the site.
For care environments in particular, surface choice is extremely important. The client required a finish that would be smooth, slip-resistant and accessible, while also offering a professional appearance that complements the quality of the new building.

Our team carried out the preparation and installation of the resin bound system across the entrance driveway and pathways surrounding the care home. By combining natural aggregates with UV-stable resin, we created a seamless, hard-wearing and permeable surface that enhances both the aesthetics and functionality of the outdoor space.
The resin bound surface provides a smooth and even finish, making it ideal for wheelchairs, walking aids and general pedestrian use. Its permeable structure also allows rainwater to drain naturally through the surface, helping to prevent standing water and maintain a safe environment throughout the year.
The completed installation provides a smart, welcoming and highly practical external surface that complements the modern design of the new care home. The resin bound driveway creates a strong first impression at the entrance, while the surrounding paths ensure safe and attractive access around the entire building.
